A brief description of the event(s):
1.Host of Guest Lecturer for We Canada at Earth Summit 2012. Several NAIT students are attending. 2.Sponsorship of the University of Alberta Speaker Series, November 17, 2011 (Annie Leonard) – plus the purchase of 50 tickets that were dispersed to students and staff at NAIT to attend. 3.The Women in Technology and Trades Initiative holds a speakers series in March of each year, which is open to all, but the intended audience is female students in non-traditional roles. This provides women an opportunity to meet others, gain support, and obtain information on various topics of interest. 4.At NAIT we promote diversity with the Aboriginal Awareness week, which is a week of events to share the aboriginal culture with all of NAIT.
