The university has removed a large number of gasoline trucks and vans from the fleet used by the Facilities Maintenance Department over the years. The university uses electric utility carts for much of the operational and maintenance needs for the Boston campus. In 2022, the University purchased 4 vantage electric compact trucks to handle bigger operational requirements to replace some of the trips do by the remaining gas powered pickup trucks. The university is on the waiting list to purchase Ford Lightning all-electric trucks when they become available.
