A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :

A full list of courses from the 2021 - 2022 Academic year was compiled from the Office of the University Registrar. The Climate Justice and Sustainability Hub (Hub) then provided a list of keywords to pull courses related to sustainability as defined in the STARS guideline. The Hub reviewed the full list of courses to determine if they were Sustainability-focused, Sustainability-inclusive or should not be included at all.

Courses offered to both undergraduate and graduate students were counted in the undergraduate category. Courses offered by multiple colleges and departments were reviewed to avoid double counting. Courses determined to be excluded from the course inventory per STARS guidelines were deleted in both the full inventory and sustainability inventory. These include individually-directed courses and courses that are strictly practice-oriented.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections

A brief description of how courses with multiple offerings or sections were counted:

Courses with multiple offerings were counted as a single course.
