Arboretum Status

In 2019 Northeastern received Arboretum Status through ArbNet www.arbnet.org/
that certifies accredited arboreta. As an urban campus on just 66(?) acres in downtown Boston having over 1k trees with 143 species is remarkable. Besides being a terrific learning tool, the arboretum is beneficial to our air quality, stormwater retention and habitat protection.
