A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
- North Seattle College counselors are faculty members with master’s or doctoral degrees. Counseling is located in the Student Success Services Area.
- During examination periods, Student Leadership organizes events that help student to relax and recharge, so that they can be well prepared for exams. Activities including: free massage, relaxing lounge, and art therapy, etc.
- The Roy Flores Wellness Center at North offers Free Drop-in classes for all students, staff, and faculty as well as community members with memberships. Classes include yoga, kickboxing, zumba, etc.
- All Seattle Colleges, of which North Seattle is a part of, faculty and staff have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Washington State. The EAP is provided to help employees with their personal or work related problems through counseling, referral, and assistance with supervisory issues. EAP is completely free and confidential.
