Goal 1: Surpass greenhouse gas reduction targets provided by the State Agency Climate Leadership Act
Goal 2: All new buildings will be constructed to at least a LEED Silver standard.
Goal 3: Compared to 2019, reduce landfill waste 50% by weight by 2030
Goal 4: Meet Seattle 2030 District resource conservation targets
Goal 5: Develop a District Purchasing Policy to purchase, when available, GreenSeal, EcoLogo brand products, EPEAT Silver or higher certified electronics, and other third-party verified sustainable products.

As found in the North Seattle College 2016-2023 Institutional Effectiveness Plan, there are a couple goals and objectives that address diversity, equity, and inclusion. Within Core Theme One: Advancing Student Success, Objective 1.06 is to "[i]ncrease the equity of academic success among all student groups." Within Core Theme Three: Building a Sustainable Community, the Goal is to "use a long-range perspective to make decisions that lead to a fiscally, socially, and environmentally sustainable institution. Objective 3.01 is to "[i]increase the development of an equitable and inclusive college campus" and 3.02 is to "[i]ncrease engagement of strategic partnerships that support 'the triple bottom line.'"

Seattle Colleges Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Plan
1. Continue progress toward the goal of eliminating the racial equity gap in order to achieve success for all students.
2. Improve intercultural competency and practice among employees and students through professional development and curriculum with concepts of racial equity, diversity, inclusion, and community system-wide.
3. Recruit, hire, support, and mentor employees in order to develop and reatin a stable and diverse workforce.
4. Establishment of District-wide BIRT/BIRST processes
-Use of protocol with goal of 49=8-hour turnaround time when incidents occur
- Train all college units (i.e., faculty, front line staff, student services, security)
5. Establishment of naturally occurring groups where critical connections can happen (e.g., training Central Security group on implicit bias)
6. Support and oversee establishment of college- and district-wide affinity groups
7. Develop, provide, and support opportunities for employee participation in racial equity-related professional development
8. Support work plan of faculty diversity and inclusion committee (FDIC), a faculty led group using racial equity to revise faculty hiring practices
9. Training, preparation for understanding how to navigate Hate Speech, engagin with discourse, Free Speech
10. Completion of EDI landscape assessment at 3 colleges and Siegal Center
11. Goal of 60 faculty and staff each year participating in Equity Institiute

Seattle College District Policy Number 210: Environmental Policy: "The Seattle College District is committed to conducting business in an environmentally responsible fashion. It shall be the policy of the Seattle College District to:

1. Reduce the present and future risks of hazardous materials.
2. Comply with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to hazardous materials.
3. Promote the purchase and use of products manufactured using recycled materials.
4. Establish procedures to reduce waste in ongoing processes and to develop waste reduction procedures.
5. Establish recycling systems for non-hazardous materials.
6. Promote conservation of electricity and water.
7. Encourage conservation of fuels through the promotion of bus, van and carpool use, bicycles, and other alternative modes of transportation.
8. Increase the awareness of environmental issues and practices.
9. Develop, to the fullest extent possible, capital master plans and projects consistent with the provisions of the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA).

The “responsible official,” for the purposes of the policy, shall be the chancellor, respective campus president/vice-chancellor, or designee. It shall be the responsibility of the “responsible official” to facilitate the preparation of a “Declaration of Significance/Non-Significance” and/or a “Threshold Determination”, as appropriate"

North Seattle College signed and endorsed "America Is All In," which was released on December 12, 2020. It laid out high-level actions for the then incoming Biden-Harris administration. It called for an enhanced partnership across non-federal and federal entities and reaffirmed non-federal actors' commitment to climate action.
