A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:

North Seattle College participated in the Seattle Colleges District-wide Energy review project on December 2016. The ESCO energy audit team toured campus buildings to identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and other building system improvement. Through observation, measurement, and inquiry, the team produced a list of resource-saving chances. Opportunities that are identified are then validated by Sustainability Council. These findings are priorities, sorted into funding streams and implemented in strategic order.
