A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:
The ASB Child Care Center is a service provided for students and funded by the Associated Student Body in cooperation with college administration and parent fees. Children must be between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old. Students enrolled for at least 10 credits at North Seattle Community College receive priority consideration. Each child is encouraged to build a positive self-image through his/her intellectual, social, emotional and physical development. The Child Care Center staff has college degrees in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. The Center is licensed by the state Department of Social and Health Services and participates in the City of Seattle's Comprehensive Child Care Program.
