A brief description of the event(s):
On June 6th, 2013, North Seattle Community College hosted the Humble Feast, a celebration of sustainably sourced, local and organic food. We swapped the food in our hot bar the the aforementioned food, and worked with student employees in food service to make delicious menu items, offering selections for all people with dietary restrictions. During this, we had representatives from local farms, the different groups on campus that promote diversity, the sustainability office, and other groups all talking about sustainable food production, labor practices, and relationships.
