A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
The Sustainability Coordinator Christian Rusby has previously done a 5-7 minute presentation for North's New Student Orientations. He gives them the definition of Sustainability, recycling, composting and landfill and displays some fun or interesting facts. He also gives an overview of Sustainability here at North, such as our new composting in the cafeteria. Each orientations holds about 40 students.
This coming academic year, assistant Ben Silver will be taking on part of that responsibility, however outreach to new students is a large priority as an office, and the coordinator is at the forefront of outreach to our new community members.
