The name of the campaign(s):
Putting the Dirt back in Earth Day

A brief description of the campaign(s):

As part of our broader Earth Week celebrations this year, the Sustainability Office chose to highlight sustainable growing methods, and we had our Community Garden project manager give a lecture on permaculture growing techniques, and how they can be incorporated to your average at home garden. Additionally, we worked with different courses and instructors to spread that message, and bring Laura (project manager and authority on permaculture) to other courses and excite students about more sustainable growing methods. The following day, we also had a work part at the community garden site, with many campus community members and members of the greater Licton Springs community.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign(s):

We directly spoke with over 80 students throughout the multiple talks on permaculture and sustainable agriculture, and logged well over 50 volunteer hours the following day at the work party.
