A brief description of the farmers’ market:
The Campus Farmers Market is run entirely by students. The mission is to nourish the campus community with local food and educational experiences by coordinating a weekly market. The Campus Farmers Market blossomed from the dream of one student, Eric Ballard, 2009 Alumnus. The Campus Farmers Market was created through Student Government’s Sustainability Commission, but it has now branched off as its own student organization.
On Earth Day 2009, the market had its first day in the Brickyard. A success, the Campus Farmers Market is held every Wednesday each Fall and Spring semester, 12 weeks per semester.
