A brief description of the undergraduate degree program (1st program):
The Environmental Technician - Field and Laboratory (Co-op) program is designed to help student master the field and lab skills that will help protect our water, air and land. The prepares students to be involved in a variety of projects to assess, clean up and protect the environment with a focus on hands-on training including practical exercises in on-campus labs and on the college grounds, off-campus lab sessions and field trips. Renewable Energies Technician

A brief description of the undergraduate degree program (2nd program):
As the focus increases to use and integrate renewable energy as a preferred energy source, the need for a qualified workforce is being sought by industry, communities, environmental groups, and federal and provincial governments. This program has been designed to train renewable energy technicians to install, maintain and repair the equipment that is used to create renewable energies for public consumption.
This program will give graduates a solid practical and theoretical foundation to work with a variety of Renewable Energy solutions. Some of the energy types studied are: wind, solar and geothermal. Students are introduced to the different sectors of the energy field as well as techniques in design, installation and monitoring of Renewable Energy systems, and the impacts on society.
