A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
Niagara College offers a variety of programs that focus on cultural competence training and activities for students. Some of the workshops, activities and training opportunities include: workshops in conjunction with the International Department for those interested in working abroad, workshops for international students working in Canada to develop workplace skills, workshops that cover the Canadian workplace, attaining working visas, developing resumes, and assistance in converting international resumes to an acceptable resume in Canada. Niagara College also offers a career crawl in partnership with Brock University and the Niagara Region which helps students familiarize themselves with the Niagara Region. The Niagara College Student Administrative Council (SAC) also offers a variety of events and clubs students can join that cover a wide variety of topics in which all clubs are open to all students.
