Cultural competence, diverse learning needs and sustainability (which is a hybrid course) are principles embedded in the three phase New Faculty Development program, Part Time Teachers program, as well as a number of professional development programs and workshops offered throughout the year. Some of the professional development programs offered include: Student Background: Considerations for Instructions on Tests and Assignments, Classroom Expectations: Yours and Theirs, Mental Health First Aid Training and How to Work Effectively with People who Act, Think & Work So Differently from You. Also, intercultural activities are imbedded in all Niagara College wide events, including New Employee Orientation, Day of Reflection, and Niagara Day.
