All buildings at the Welland Campus and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus are connected to the energy management system. The electricity sub-meters collect data through the PowerLogic ION Enterprise Energy Management software. This system allows a centralized location to track energy consumption and performance in multiple buildings.

A description of what systems are shut down during unoccupied periods:
The building automation system shuts down all air handling units, heating and cooling systems at the Welland campuses between 9:00pm - 8:00am on weekdays and 5:30pm - 8:00am on weekends. The air handling units are shut down at the Niagara-on-the-Lake between 9:00pm - 8:00am on weekdays and 5:30pm - 8:00am on weekends.
