A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
Dining Services at Niagara College are required to utilize a pre-consumer food waste composting program within the food preparation area of the dining service areas including Benchmark, Bench-to-Go and cafeteria services at Niagara College. All pre-consumer organic scraps are placed in a composting bin provided by Niagara College. These practices are extended to catering services as well as daily meal preparations.
