NYU's Office of Sustainability maintains a monthly "Sustainability News" newsletter. The nearly 9,300 subscribers (including students, faculty, staff, and alumni) receive regular email updates on NYU sustainability in the news, upcoming events and programs, job opportunities, and deadlines. The office also has an Instagram, @nyu_green, with nearly 4,500 followers where events, news, and sustainability tips are highlighted.

Yes, several buildings, 18 in total, have LEED plaques installed demonstrating the university’s commitment to sustainability. This includes NYU’s newest building, the John A. Paulson Center which was certified LEED Gold.

Sustainability map or tour

Each year, the NYU Office of Sustainability provides the "Green Campus Tour" at NYU Welcome Week for all incoming students. This opportunity allows new NYU community members to witness the ongoing sustainability actions at the University, interact with students and staff from the office, and ask their own questions about sustainability at NYU.

NYU’s Office of Sustainability provides an extensive guide for students and faculty to incorporate sustainability into their residential and academic experiences. These guides cover connecting with student organizations, attending sustainability events, and sustainable lifestyle tips.

NYU provides classroom presentations to introduce students across multiple disciplines to sustainability at the university. We cover ways to get involved through student clubs, climate goals, sustainability achievements made by the university, and opportunities for funding internships and sustainable projects.

NYU Dining Services publishes a Dining Guide which includes extensive information about the sustainable dining options at NYU. The Dining Guide is available online and outlines details of vegan, vegetarian, and other sustainability-oriented dining options for the NYU community, as well as providing details about the overall dining opportunities at the University. NYU dining halls also feature signage on the walls, at entrances, and at serving stations highlighting sustainable food choices and systems.

NYU's Office of Sustainability manages numerous web pages providing information on biking laws, safety procedures, tips for locking and riding in New York City, as well as help on navigating the city streets.
