A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):

The Sustainability Leaders Fellowship hosted by the Office of Sustainability is an intensive cohort-based paid fellowship for students to explore climate advocacy, outreach, and peer-to-peer education. In this year-long program, fellows attend workshops led by community organizers, educators, and experts in the sustainability field. Students ill learn about sustainability topics, develop a toolkit to share sustainability knowledge with their peers, gain leadership skills to galvanize action and join a network of peer leaders and sustainability professionals in co-creating a climate-neutral campus. In the second half of the program, fellows work in groups to develop project proposals that tackle sustainability challenges at NYU. This final project aims to give students a better understanding of how departments across NYU work in collaboration to advance sustainability on campus and the challenges of doing so.
