NYU's Chief Sustainability Officer, Cecil Scheib, is on the Board of Urban Green Council - a leading green building and sustainability network in NYC. NYU has hosted the Urban Green Council annual conference for the past two years (2018 & 2019) and Cecil helped guide content and logistics for the conference.

A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:

The NYU Office of Sustainability has regular meetings with the NYU Langone Medical Center's Sustainability Team to share information on overall sustainability strategy, RFP templates, and energy/sustainability data for the mutual advancement of each's sustainability programs.

NYU Langone is outside of the institutional boundary of this STARS submission.

NYU is a part of the Ivy+/Listening Post collaboration where numerous institutions share data and collaborate on reducing carbon emissions and championing sustainability. The group shares experience and compiles best practices across area such as renewable energy, building efficiency, and organizational change surrounding sustainability.
