A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to staff:

NYU offers the Green Zone training, which is available to all NYU staff and administrators. Green Zone is part of a suite of NYU trainings that teaches community members how to foster a more inclusive, empathetic, informed, and safer NYU. Through this three hour training, participating students, faculty, administrators, and staff learn about and discuss key concepts and terminology related to sustainability in order to move towards greater environmental and social consciousness and take concrete actions.

NYU also offers an instructor-led course available to all administrators called “Sustainability at NYU: Greening Your Office and Events.” Through this hour and a half long training, administrators learn basic strategies for integrating more sustainability practices into their office operations and events.
