55
A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
Candidates are introduced to sustainability through the recruitment process and, if hired, through onboarding process. Every NYU staff/administrator job posting contains a line about the University's commitment to sustainability that is seen by all job applicants.
Once hired, new staff and administrator employees that are onboarded by NYU's Human Resources Division participate in an information session with a Human Resources representative that includes information on the University's sustainability efforts in welcome documents given to new employees along with a reusable tote bag and stainless steel water bottle.
Lastly, NYU's Office of Sustainability also regularly speaks at orientations for new employees, both staff and faculty.
