A brief description of the source of non-potable water and how it is used:

The AQUS Greywater Reuse Project lead by Daniel Simon, an NYU student,is the first east coast pilot test of this greywater recycling system design, which captures and reuses sink water in order to flush the toilet. Student volunteers host AQUS in residence hall bathrooms, and detailed evaluation of the system will provide a case study for widespread implementation beyond NYU.

The AQUS system was installed in three bathrooms in the Alumni residence hall in spring 2009. Testing and evaluation of the system is underway.
