A brief description of the post-consumer food waste composting program:
NYU currently collects organic waste from 4 dining service locations and 2 catering kitchens.
On a pilot basis, NYU is testing post-consumer food waste composting in select residential dining halls.
NYU's School of Law also now implements floor-by-floor residence hall composting, in a program which was launched as a student-organized Green Grant project.
