Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

Commuting emissions for the university community are not included in the original climate action plan, because they were not fully calculated at the time of its February 2009 release.

However, a team of Environmental Studies students worked with the Office of Sustainability to calculate these emissions, and their report includes this data, which will be publicly reported and included in the next edition of the CAP.

2009 commuting emissions of students, faculty and staff amount to (high-end estimate, assuming year-round travel) 27,123 MTCE/year, or 16.63% of the total 2009 inventory.

All other emissions data are available in the NYU Climate Action Plan report, at www.nyu.edu/sustainability/climateaction
