Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
NYU’s Office of the University Registrar provided information regarding departments and the courses they offer. The Office of Sustainability reached out on a departmental basis to identify which departments offer at least one sustainability-related or –focused course. These departments may incorporate a variety of programs, institutes, centers and other academic units under their umbrellas. At NYU, an academic "department" differs from a subcategorical "program" or other unit in that it is tenure-granting, can anchor new curricula or degree programs, and serves other research-based functions.
