Does the institution have an on-campus garden where students are able to gain organic farming and/or gardening experience?:
A brief description of the garden:
NYU has two student clubs (one undergraduate, one graduate) which have partnered with the Food Studies Department with funding from an Office of Sustainability Green Grant to grow food in a series of small, intensive cold frame boxes on a lawn near the Washington Square Village Apartments in the core urban campus.
These boxes have been in place since 2008.
