A brief description of the campaign(s):
NYU offers half a dozen or more Welcome Week engagement and education events annually -- students and Office of Sustainability staff meet with and inform undergraduate freshmen about opportunities to get involved on campus. All new students are invited to these twice-a-year sessions.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign(s):
Every year, numerous students join environmental clubs and organizations, get on to mailing lists for future events, sign up to be a part of the Sustainability Task Force, receive information about academic programs such as environmental studies, and learn how to report facilities and environmental problems on campus at these sessions.
Without exception, each year some of the students met through Welcome Week end up joining the Office of Sustainability as employees, leading student clubs, and more.
