One

A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :
As an agriculture and engineering college we have a great number of classes related to the environment, ecology, sustainability, food production, and policy that are both related and focused on sustainability issues. For our second STARS report in 2011 a diverse committee of faculty and staff went through the class catalogue and compiled a list of sustainably-oriented classes, whether focused or related. The group reviewed the class description and determined whether it met the requirements of the previously-determined definitions. In fall of 2016, NMSU’s Sustainability Council convened a new group of faculty to revise the definitions and update the previous course listing.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
