A brief description of the farmers’ market:
We don't call it a Farmer's Market but since we do grow organic and non-organic produce on campus as a part of our agriculture college, we regularly offer a different variety of foods for sale. Onions, chiles, plants and flowers, ornamental chiles, poinsetias, pecans and pistachios, lettuces and spinach to name a few. We also, as part of our HRTM (Hotel Restaurant Tourism Management) program have a cafe where the students prepare meals for sale and some of the food is grown in our own gardens. Beef and dairy promotions, cheese and local wine are all a large part of the College of Agriculture, Consumer, and Environmental Science.
