A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
As of now, since the Office of Sustainability is only a year old, we have no formal training for sustainability related issues. We do have monthly speakers at our Sustainability Council meeting that educate us on so many different subjects. I have just put on my looong list of To Do's for 2012 to develop a training session through the Center for Learning and Professional Development. I also am partnering with the Environmental Health and Safety Office training in sustainability and safety topics which go hand and hand. We do have a large number of professionall development opportunities in many different subjects (see URL for CLPD below) and the following two links: http://ict.nmsu.edu/~training/ http://ict.nmsu.edu/~training/workshops/index.html
