Does the institution offer housing options to accomodate the special needs of transgender and transitioning students (either as a matter of policy or as standard practice)?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:
We used to call an area of our on-campus housing "Married Housing". We now call it "Family Housing". We do not discriminate against same sex couples or any other type of arrangements in our housing. This is not a policy as such, but it is standard practice.
We also have the following on campus:
1. Transgender – establishing gender-neutral restrooms on campus is on the radar screen
2. Through classes and individual organizations such as LGBTQA "Safe Zone" training we make sure that students feel safe and welcome no matter their special needs.
