Does the institution prioritize the use of native plant species in landscaping?:
A brief description of the native plant program, policy, or practice:
F+S Grounds Department at NMSU is in a high desert transition zone 10 where temperatures can fluctuate between 30-40 degrees during any fall or winter day. Thus our choice of plant material is to create a xeriscape of indiginous plants. By using xeriscaping water conservation, these practices are enhanced.
