A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :
Our Green Cleaning program at NMSU has gone above and beyond just purchasing green cleaning products.
Our Custodial Office's Green Cleaning Program is injecting microfiber technology in all of our Institutional and General Purpose (I&G) facilities. This program is a water conservation initiative. We are replacing the string mops and buckets with ringers with new microfiber flatmops, thus eliminating the use of water by not filling up the mop buckets. With Pro-Link’s Advanced Microfiber System (AMS), we will be able to clean better, increase worker safety, reduce chemical and water usage, and increase productivity as well as lowering our total costs.
