A brief description of the program:
The Assistant Director of our NMSU Outdoor Recreation office, Ben Gabriel, is a Master Educator for Leave No Trace (LNT). He also just recently stepped down as Director of LNT. We are passionate about Leave No Trace at NMSU: Our recreational staff is fully trained in LNT; Fall 2011 semester Outdoor Recreation will be presenting a LNT Trainer Course; the LNT ethics are part of the curriculum for backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking, and kayaking classes. LNT resources and flyers are available at Outdoor Rec Outdoor Center. NMSU is a paid "Organizational Partner" of Leave No Trace.
