NJIT has a customized management system that oversees coordinated and systematic approach to the health and safety risks.

The attached pdf has NJIT's standard operating procedures for assessment, prevention and control of occupational and environmental impacts.

NJIT follows all applicable national and state regulations in regards to managing the health and safety risks.

A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
Employees are required to report all workplace injuries/illnesses to the Human Resources. Human Resources then reports the injury/illness to our Workers Compensation Insurance carrier, only injury/illnesses required by OSHA to be recorded are recorded on our OSHA 300A log.

The attachment has the list of guidelines that NJIT follows to ensure workplace safety. It also has SOP for Workplace safety at NJIT.
