Yes

Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
50

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
NTHU currently has two kinds of evaluation to measure employee satisfaction. One is developed from Service Performance Evaluation and the other is through Employee Assistance Program (EAP). University Personnel Office takes charge of university employees' appointments, performance evaluations, pensions, job satisfaction, and issues involved with ethical and law compliance. Meanwhile, all issues handled may cause responses with various degrees of satisfaction from employees, including faculty and staff. They can directly give the feedback to the office, or fill out the evaluation on the official Service Performance Evaluation form. Besides, to deal with employees’ health, psychological or family problems and make sure employee satisfaction and engagement in NTHU, we adopt EAP to provide professional service for preventing or solving related issues that affect personal work performance, such as work adaptation, interpersonal, marriage, family care, health, law, etc. We can apply suitable EAP models according to the needs of individual employees. In EAP, the important role is the questionnaire survey. By implementing it, we could get employee satisfaction and engagement. The questionnaire is anonymous and the identity or personal information will be kept strictly confidential.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
Based on the results either from the Performance Evaluation or EAP, we can analyze the factors affecting employees' satisfaction via statistical analysis. Based on the opinions or suggestions from employees, we design next years’ employee services programs.
