A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to non-academic staff:
NTHU conducts the Multiple Learning Plan for non-academic staff. The learning subjects include ethics and law compliance of administration services, the professional skills in communications and management, sustainability topics in energy, green purchase, gender equity, diversity and inclusion, and environmental protection. The staff attend the learning activities via lectures, workshops, site visits, and online digital resources.

A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :
As a public university, NTHU staff are required to attend at least 10 hours courses a year offered by certified courses. The categories of courses include environment and resource management, public participation, multiple ethnic culture, gender equity, etc. Besides offered by the university, the external institutes could accept NTHU staff to register the courses, and an online learning platform is accessible ( https://elearn.hrd.gov.tw/mooc/explorer.php ) for credits.

A brief description of how sustainability is included in staff performance reviews :
In response to the enforcement of environmental protection laws and regulations and enhancement of the energy-saving management and occupational safety and health management on campus, the Center was established in 2006 to take charge of campus sustainability. Tasks include toxic material handling for labs, the water and energy management, waste and recycling service, green buildings, etc. Staff taking charge of these tasks require professional knowledge and certification, and their performance on sustainability are included in their annual evaluation for promotion or financial rewards.
