A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

In NTHU, we hold orientation events for freshly recruited faculty and staff. A two-day faculty orientation camp was held for new faculty to engage them with research and teaching in the university. In the orientation, the ethics of research and teaching, the campus entics in gender, equity, diversity and inclusion mandates are emphasized in the learning program. For new staff, the university holds the training program three times a year to receive newly employed staff to learn e-documental systems, ethics and law compliance practices, and the campus sustainability performance. NTHU orientation events are disseminated to all employees as a part of the new hiring orientation through the NTHU newsletter that all employees receive on a regular basis. Our sustainability culture will be displayed in our orientation events.
NTHU is a public research and teaching university. We try to
increase research production capacity and enhance teaching quality. At the same time, we also discover the public values and hold the responsibilities for the society. Through the orientation activities, employees will learn the way to get active in our sustainability culture.
