This program trains students to become teaching assistants in sustainability-related courses, to be co-leaders of the course, and to promote a culture of sustainability on campus.
The NTNU subsidized 864 courses/827 teaching assistants in the 109 academic year, and selected 126 courses related to sustainable development to participate in this program.
The program is mainly designed to prepare student educators for the general education and common education of the university and divided into two stages of training. The first stage includes basic courses such as "class management" and "teaching skills", which is offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning Development of the university, providing student educators with course guidance and leadership skills.
The second stage is knowledge training related to the course, including preparation and participation of the courses. The teachers of the courses are the trainers of the student educators. With 126 courses in the project are related to sustainable development, the student educators are trained in both teaching literacy and sustainable development related knowledge.
Student educators conducted 36 weeks in the 109 academic year, with an average of 2 hours per week, guiding a total of 5,134 students into understanding sustainable development issues.
