A brief description of the institution’s workplace health and safety initiatives, including how workers are engaged in monitoring and advising on health and safety programs:

There is a safety committee established to address these workplace health and safety concerns which meets monthly. The state of Pennsylvania also offers free safety seminar trainings that are available to the public. In addition, Plant Operations employees receive annual bloodborne pathogen training and can have the Hepatitis vaccine, if necessary, when they are hired.
