A brief description of the metering system:
Muhlenberg College meters all energy consumption (including electricity, natural gas, purchased steam) for at least one building.
We have separate oil and gas metering on the main 600HP and 300 HP boilers
We have separate gas meters on each of the two boilers in Seegers union
We have 4 separate gas meters on the following systems in the Trexler Pavilion, Domestic Hot Water, Rooftop Unit heaters, Hydronic heat and the snow melt systems
We have E-mon Demon electrical Meters in 26 of the following buildings to monitor electrical usage. Village 1-5, C/A, Prosser, Trexler Pavilion, New Science, Trumbower, Shankweiler, Seegers, Library, Life Sports, Memorial Hall, Walson, Haas, Ettinger, Martin Luther, East Hall, Brown hall, South Hall, Brown Hall, Benfer, Taylor and 2210 Chew.
March 2012, all major buildings including residence halls are metered for energy consumption
