A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

The survey is conducted every two years and is sent electronically to all Mount Royal University Employees. The survey focuses on employee wellness. Sections include, general, physical, and emotional/mental wellness as well as overall sense of community, spiritual wellness, environmental wellness and physical space, work-life balance, professional development and leadership/policy.


A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):

Each year Mount Royal University Wellness provides a staff wellness fair which encompasses items found in the previous survey. Booths during each fair are specifically tailored to employee needs based on survey responses. For example, the past wellness fair focused on booths regarding Mount Royal's internal services such as recreation, professional development funding assistance, spiritual spaces, access to mental health resources.
