A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
Aging vehicles are downsized or replaced with new vehicles that are more fuel efficient. Security services downsized their truck to a Kubota to reduce their footprint, and the Parking Services truck will be replaced with a hybrid vehicle or a plug-in hybrid to save fuel.
Parking and Facilities Management have also scoped electric car charging stations for the Riddle Library & Learning Centre for future implementation.
