The Institute for Environmental Sustainability hosts a website which includes definitions of Environmental Sustainability, upcoming sustainability related events (external and internal), recent sustainability news, publications, external funding opportunities for sustainability researchers. The website also has pages which include student opportunities, recent projects and initiatives, and sustainability resources.

The Parks and Protected Areas Research Group (PPARG), an initiative through the Institute for Environmental Sustainability (IES) puts out a newsletter twice a year. The newsletter features recent news regarding parks and protected areas, upcoming events or conferences, research and publications, and recent videos suggested by PPARG members.

The Reflector is Mount Royal University's campus newspaper. They have a print edition which is issued bi-weekly as well as an online source which adds articles as they arise. The editorials often contain sustainability related topics.
For example, articles relating to sexual health, mental health, economic security, and the importance of voting have been published in recent editorials.

Mount Royal University's Research and Scholarship Days provides students the opportunity to disseminate their research activities. Mount Royal also hosts various symposiums and conferences throughout the year which focus on student participation.
Each year Research and Scholarship Days is hosted at Mount Royal offering students the chance to present their research to the Mount Royal community. Students can participate in presentations or poster sessions to disseminate their sustainability research.
Student research is featuring the Institute for Environmental Sustainability Annual Reports and on the website. Student research is also often featured on Mount Royal University's home page stories.

Low flush toilets - bathrooms which have undergone renovations include low flush toilets. In each of the stalls there is permanent signage that describes the use and purpose of the low flush toilets.
LEED buildings - newly constructed buildings such as the Riddell Library and Learning Center which have obtained a LEED Rating have postings regarding such rating.
Showers are located in the Riddell Library and Learning Center for cyclists commuting to campus.
Recycle/Compost signage is present throughout campus to encourage staff, students and faculty to demonstrate and encourage sustainable waste management on campus.
Ablution facilities are new to campus and allow for washing before prayer, signage for ablution facilities are located near each facility.

Dana Hospitality runs a cafeteria style restaurant called The Table. Within their operations Dana Hospitality pledges to achieve the most sustainable program possible. They source ingredients from local produces, greenhouses and farms within close proximity to their kitchen and continually look for opportunities to renew, reuse, recycle, restore, and sustain.
Dana Hospitality also caters specifically to events and offers unique menus for these situations. For example, the Institute for Environmental Sustainability screened a showing of the documentary "Bugs on the Menu" for which Dana Hospitality catered a meal which included silk worm pizza and salsa.

Parking and Transportation encourages the Mount Royal Community to consider alternative modes of transportation to reduce the number of single occupant vehicles comping to campus.

Our Community Newsletter
Every two weeks, Mount Royal University publishes a newsletter to staff, faculty, and student subscribers which details events and opportunities happening around campus.
