Residential Energy Services Network
(RESNET) Rater Training
Help fill the growing need for home energy
audits by becoming a RESNET rater.
• Learn why your utility bills are high and how
to lower them.
• Identify air leaks in your home, properly seal
and insulate them and save money.
• Train on diagnostic state-of-the-art equipment
to evaluate residential energy performance.
• Retrain for a career change as a RESNET
rater.
The RESNET Rater program consists of:
• Residential Energy System – 16-hour intro
course for those with little building or energy
experience.
• RESNET Rater Training – 40-hour advanced
course plus an online two-hour open-book 50
question certification test. This course includes
hands-on home audits where you can practice
your skills.
