A faculty person was selected based on previous experience with and passion for sustainability issues. This faculty person trains other faculty to then help permeate through departments methods to green curriculum.

Faculty are trained by the Coordinator for Sustainability Teaching and Learning, first how to green their own curriculum and then how to provide leadership for fellow colleagues in individual departments to green more curriculum.

The Coordinator for Sustainability Teaching and Learning is a 3-hour release time position for 1 faculty member a year. Faculty who participate in the full training are compensated by Professional Growth Units (PGUs) which equate to higher pay grades.
