Tier2-2: Organic Garden
|0.25 / 0.25||
Does the institution have an on-campus garden where students are able to gain organic farming and/or gardening experience?:
A brief description of the garden:
A garden was planted in the Summer of 2010 and was managed by a group of staff, faculty and student volunteers. Culinary students used herbs from the garden; volunteers gathered fresh produce as it was grown. The garden is not certified organic, but no toxic chemicals were used during the growing season. 2010 was first growing season, so we're looking forward to more student involvement in 2011.
