A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:

Since 2013, the MSU community has been able to submit applications to receive funding to support independent sustainability projects that accelerate the Sustainability Framework. Students, faculty, and staff apply for funding supported by MSU Administration and Finance that can be applied towards student or faculty research projects or programming that improves the overall state of sustainability at MSU.

A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:

After the application closes, the voting members of the Campus Sustainability Advisory Committee (CSAC) review the applications and hear presentations from applications on the proposed projects and programming. Considering the merit, long term value, and strategies of how the applicant's project will accelerate the Sustainability Framework, CSAC will award funding in the forms of multiple grants or short-term loans.
