MSU's Marga Hosaeus Fitness Center provides lockers, shower facilities, and secure bicycle storage that are available to all commuters.

A brief description of the bicycle parking and storage facilities:

Bicycle racks are strategically placed throughout campus to serve each buildings as well as centralized commuting hubs such as the Strand Union Building. Students living on campus in dorms, apartments, and family and graduate housing have access to long term bike storage outside of their buildings.

The vision of the MSU Bicycle Master Plan (BMP) is to create a campus environment where bicycling is a safe, convenient and comfortable transportation option for students, faculty, staff and visitors. It aims to make the University a leader in setting policy, developing programs, encouraging respectful riding and improving infrastructure to encourage bicycling to, from, and within the MSU campus. The BMP was completed in 2017 and was prepared by Alta Planning and Design in association with the MSU Bicycle Task Force.

The Streamline is a public bus system that serves MSU, Bozeman, and the surrounding community. Transportation for all Streamline users is fare-free. Financial support for Streamline comes in part from students fees at the beginning of each semester. Streamline is supported and managed through a partnership between MSU, the City of Bozeman, and the Human Resource Development Council.

MSU is a participant in the RideAmigos commuter management program. This program allows tracking and incentive programs for sustainable commuting options, provides users with information on alternative transportation options and routes, and facilitates ride sharing in the community. The Western Transportation Institute at MSU organizes a vanpool program for employees living outside of public transportation service.
